Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Firstly, Cory is AMAZING! Very hospitable and personable with a customer-centered approach that made the dining experience that much more enjoyable. I’m a pescatarian, but used to love Sesame Chicken-so SoHo Bistro’s Sesame Shrimp hit the spot in a different kind of way. Our server was also very polite, which was a welcomed change from the service we’d received at the previous restaurant we’d visited. Perfect for a lunch break out date night, you won’t be disappointed.

Visiting Charlotte and stayed across the street from SoHo. Menu had familiar fare so figured we'd give it a try. Only giving 4 out of 5 rating because we didnt try multiple items. We both ordered the Cantonese Shrimp and Scallops which was fresh/hot, tasty, and spicy. Server was very attentive as was management (unfortunately, I do not remember her name I believe she was new, but very pleasant). Small establishment, nothing extravagant about atmosphere but it was clean and comfortable. We were one of two tables there but I would go back and recommend. Eager to see how (new) management implements changes. Wishing them much success

I didn’t want to leave a review be because I don’t want people to overcrowd my new favorite hidden gem. SoHo Bistro is EVERYTHING I need in a Chinese restaurant! I had the chicken and broccoli (spicy) and my husband had the SoHo Twin Delight. When I tell you all that broccoli was so fresh and so crispy, believe me! My husband's shrimp was thick, seasoned, and prepared beautifully. The manager, Cory, has the BEST energy as soon as you walk through the door. Her personality alone makes the experience of eating here 10x better. That’s my new friend and I’ll be back to support not only SoHo Bistro but my girl Cory!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great experience at Soho Bistro. The food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The Hunan Beef was easily one of the highlights of the meal. It had the perfect balance of spice and savory flavor, with tender beef and crisp vegetables that still had a nice bite to them. If you enjoy dishes with a little heat, this is definitely worth ordering. The Mongolian Beef was just as impressive. The beef was cooked perfectly and coated in a rich, slightly sweet sauce that wasn’t overpowering. It had great flavor and paired well with the rice. I also started with the Miso Soup, which was simple but done right. It was warm, comforting, and had a clean, savory taste that made for a great appetizer before the main course. Overall, Soho Bistro delivered excellent food, generous portions, and a great dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend both the Hunan Beef and Mongolian Beef to anyone looking for flavorful, satisfying dishes.

SoHo Bistro is under new management! I decided to check them out at my friend’s request on Memorial Day. You do have to park at the Truist parking deck in order to dine in, but they validate your parking ticket so you don’t have to pay (I spent a long time afterwards chatting so I ended up paying $5 for parking). Inside of the Truist Center, I spoke with Steve who not only gave me directions to the restaurant, he also went above and beyond to make sure I could get back into the building to get to my car (otherwise I’d have to walk around the building). My first impression of this restaurant was that it had a very modern and cozy ambiance. I ordered a Hot and Sour Soup and a Mandarin Chicken lunch entree (comes with either plain white or fried rice and an egg roll). Cory and her kitchen staff took very good care of me. The appetizer came out before I returned from washing my hands in their clean bathroom. I enjoyed a good bowl of Hot and Sour Soup while watching the rain outside. The entree followed soon after. From the pictures I took, you can see the mandarin orange peels incorporated into the dish. The spice level was just right and the sweet sauce helped balance the s
